The problem with Limit
The Problem I have with Limit Play is that the good player does not have such a big advantage over a bad player, over time sure he stands to win, but when trying to make you're way in this poker world it can be frustrating, that's why I personally prefer No Limit - the fact that when you bet you have so much control over what odds you give the opposition, it's a big factor to a player who knows what he's doing, some crazy risk taker who'll call you all the way on a pair of 2's and who frustratingly flops it on the river in limit - he's going to get burnt far quicker in No Limit. Even the very best players at Limit Play can expect to be a winner in a session no more than 2 times in 3 at most and to be frank I would be delighted if this was my win rate at limit play, this makes it a frustrating game, one that requires a lot of patience and one where you need a large bankroll to play in games to afford the risk of making a decent income. The fact that the betting amount is unlimited gives the good player so much more room to maneuver, the amount of winning sessions inevitably goes up. I would say for a decent No Limit player that a win rate of 2 times in 3 is to be expected rather than be the exception.
As Bob Ciaffone says you got to try and get the highest overlay possible when you're a gambler. No Limit is where it's at and now I have completely gone over to playing this and unless the unlikely event of No Limit games drying up I won't be going back to Fixed Limit.
