Party Poker

March 16, 2006

I have been playing more and more in this poker room, my views on it have improved a hell of a lot since my initial criticism of it. It has so much good action. I still think the graphics are not as good as some of the other sites but I found I don't really care so much now as I have grown to tolerate them, the standard in general is poorer than elsewhere, of course saying that they are some top notch players here as elsewhere, the advertising that party poker does pulls in plenty of novice players making it easily the biggest online poker room, thereby never short of action. Party are also one of the sites to introduce the ladder format, a great idea, whereby you can start out on a stake of your choice and end up all going well winning good money. This is really suitable for people like me who rarely have the time to spend playing in multi-tourneys for 3 to 4 hours but it effectively has the same effect broken up in to smaller time blocks. I shall talk some more about this later, suffice to say I think it's a great idea.
